Nepal: political mess and meaning of Jimmy Carter's visit

While Nepal is preparing for 'Second' Constituent Assembly elections, United States has been showing increased interest in Nepal's 'Peace Process' and 'Democratization.'

In the name of second CA elections, Nepal has gradually been moved towards a controlled system, with Judiciary, the last to be manipulated, fully controlled by
U-Maoist party.

As during the 'First' CA elections, former US President Jimmy Carter was recently in Kathmandu, showing keen interests in Nepali political process, and of course, suggesting numerous 'requirements' for a better future for Nepal.

Nepalis, with memory indeed, remember that first CA elections were 'approved' by President Carter as 'free and fair,' that too, within three hours of commencement of voting process, five years back. The meaning of that approval, at least to some analytical mind Nepalis, might, by now, be clear.

And again, the US, through Nobel Laureate Carter, has been showing intensified interests in Nepal's current political mess.

What can Nepal expect and learn from past and current indications?
