Nepal: NC Prez Sushil admits nation in a politically unstable state

By Telegraph Nepal

Frail Nepali Congress President has said that his party has played a very positive role in doing away with the present political crisis that has plagued the country.

But is that role visible?

“I appeal you all not to put the entire Nepali political parties in a single basket”, Sushil Koirala urged his audience in a polite manner.

He was speaking at a Kathmandu program organized by the Parbat Development Society, August 11, 2012.

He also said that the NC’s positive role being played to free the country from the current political mess be not mixed in a single basket with the negative efforts being made by some political parties.

If the NC has made any blunder while making efforts at having consensus among the parties, then we must be informed and the party was ready to correct the mistakes, if any, appealed Sushil Da.

“Or else it would be inappropriate to pounce upon the Nepali Congress”, senior Koirala continued.
Koirala opined that the current chaos and anarchy is all but due to the Nepal Maoists party.

“The country has to embrace chaos, anarchy and political instability because of the absence of peace, political stability and firm a firm political system”, Koirala revealed.

Koirala finally accepts that the country was in an unstable situation. But he however, did not reveal the portion of the share of his own party for all the present day mess.

At yet another plane, senior Koirala said that “Prachanda’s words and deeds differ sharply.

“There is no consistency in his words”, added Koirala.

After the conclusion of the program, at a brief chat with the converged media men, said Koirala about Prachanda, in his own words, (sic), “When he speaks, Prachanda talks of having consensus, however, when it comes to implement to what he says, he acts differently”.

Now Prachanda can’t dictate whether the next government should be led by Nepali Congress or not, said an infuriated Koirala adding “ Prachanda now has no right or whatsoever to dictates his terms”.

He also said that the talk that NC will not be allowed to assume the command of the next election government goes against the very spirit of the political consensus.

Fresh fight between the Nepali Congress and the Maoists will reefresh the national population once again, hope analysts.
