Ex-Nepal King to visit European nations, London first stopover

Telegraph Nepal

Virtually jolting the gifted but a frail republican order by boldly expressing his wishes to return as the King of Nepal in an interview with a local television channel, July 8, 2012, Nepal’s former King Gyanendra Shah is heading to the United Kingdom, it is known through high placed sources.

Another headache for the republican heroes!

Shah may also travel to other European countries that had been extending their support to establish peace in Nepal after the fall of the institution of monarchy.

Analysts claim that with India and China already convinced that Nepal’s stability was impossible in the given order, Gyanendra Shah might be in a sole mission to convince the Western democracies that his return as Nepal monarch in no way will be against the democratic order and the issue of  inclusion of marginalized communities.

The former King will first land in London, it is talked. How the British Royalty takes Nepal’s former Monarch will have to be watched. Yet he is likely to beamingly be greeted by the Gorkha soldiers based in the UK.

He is shortly leaving for London, it is said.
